    Yes, the Black Bay and her (fairly) close sister Murray Bay (3) [not the one in the bridge control room photo, the next one] were similar but had different aft arrangements and Murray Bay's forward end had a slightly higher pilothouse. Photo credit here for these slides goes to Skip Meier...

    The Burlington Canal Bridges

    Here are a few nice views from the early-mid 1950's that show some old lakers in the canal with the old bridges and hydro towers present. Vessels are Upper Lakes Shipping's Howard L. Shaw and CSL canallers Fernie and City of Kingston.

    Just to dig this old one up again, here is a complete insulator recovered from a different section of line. These were used on the old, original towers along the beach strip. If anybody has seen one of the insulators in the second image, I'd certainly appreciate hearing from you!
