Be a guardian of the earth’s creatures

Hamilton Spectator
By Kathy Renwald
Nov 28, 2013
The person responsible for documenting the wildlife around the harbour is famous birder and author Bob Curry. I've known him for years, and every time I talk to him I'm better for it.

He shares his knowledge of birds with a quiet consideration, which inspires a gardener to make the garden a better place for birds and butterflies.

Curry's inventory of the harbour concentrated on LaSalle Park and Windermere Basin, looking for damselflies, dragonflies and butterflies. He noted seven species of butterflies at Windermere where a new prairie planting has the potential of improving habitat.
