I picked up this postcard showing a steamer (S.S. Tubina I believe) docking at LaSalle Park in the Harbour. I stopped for a few pictures to set where the picture was taken from. Notice the stone monument on the left, it is dated 1923 and it is a dedication to the landing of LaSalle.

A recent picture of the same area shows that the trees have taken over the view and LaSalle Marina is not even visible. The same stone monument is on the left side.

The next two are from member Crawfish showing the dock at LaSalle, but the dock area looks a bit different.

Another from Crawford Collection;

These two are from the book, Harbour Lights and are credited to Roger Chapman;

In the first picture (postcard) the escarpment is visible in the distance, but you really can't see what is on the shoreline. This photo shows the same shoreline as it looks today, notice the steep drop in the escarpment.
