Advance polls for the 2006 Municipal Election:
* Today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Election day is Nov. 13.
To find your polling location, visit www.myhamilton.ca or call 905-546-CITY.
Are you on the voters list?
Call 905-546-2424 ext. 6655 or e-mail vote2006@hamilton.ca to check.
How do you get on the list?
You must visit your local municipal centre to fill out a form. You can also register when you go to vote, though the city recommends signing up ahead of time.
Who can vote?
* A resident of Hamilton, whether a tenant or homeowner;
* Must be a Canadian citizen;
* At least 18 years old;
* Not prohibited from voting under any law.
What identification do I need to vote?
* You require one piece of identification showing your name and address. This can include:
* Government identification, like a driver's licence;
* Property tax bill or utility bill.
