Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit Funding

I am pleased to announce that the City of Hamilton has made another investment in the Beach Rescue Unit facility. Over $75,000 will be granted to the unit to assist with the repaving of the parking area. For a number of years I've had the honour and pleasure of working with the executive members of the unit in facilitating both funding and the transfer of City property to the organization. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit. Congratulations to the executive, and officers (both past and present), who have assisted with marine rescue operations in Hamilton Harbour and Lake Ontario.
