I am no tree hugger, but I don't get this one. The City builds the new Path and replants many trees to green up the area and to help with soil erosion, fend off the lake winds, shade, etc. Now Hydro1 finds it necessary to remove many of these trees because they think that they might interfere with the hydro lines. The trees I seen them cutting down have a long ways to go before they get close at all to the lines. We wonder why our Hydro rates keep going up and then you see these make work projects that accomplish nothing.

The attached picture shows the part of the Path Hydro One hasn't started on yet, as you can see the trees are far from the lines and in good shape.
We will see how it looks tomorrow. :nonono:

Bunch of BS half the trees were well below 50 feet from the wires.
I called Hydro One and was told they could cut down what ever they want, I checked, they can. I was also told that by 2008, all the trees will be removed from under the towers. :bang:
