Hamilton's municipal election will be held October 25,2010. We are pleased to inform you that Councillor Chad Collins will be seeking re-election as Councillor for Ward 5.
First elected at the age of 24 in a by-election, Chad was one of the youngest political leaders elected to Hamilton's City Council in our city's history. Since that time, he has become one of the most effective and responsive political leaders in the Greater Hamilton area.
He has served as Chairman of the Public Warks Committee, Audit and Administration Committee and more recently as Chairman of the Hamilton Waterfront Trust. In cooperation with City Council and the Waterfront Trust Board, Chad has been a strong advocate of the commercial and recreational development of the City's East and West Harbour.
From the closure of SWARU, to the development of our waterfront, Chad has led Council on many issues.
A lifelong resident of Ward 5, Chad resides in the Rosedale neighbourhood with his wife Mary and their two children, Chase and Reese.
As campaign 20l0 is well underway, your support would be very much appreciated and will ensure that young energetic leaders like Chad Collins continue to move Hamilton forward.
