From the May 2007 Beach Banner
The executive is working very closely with-Stelco-Dofasco-Columbian Chemicals, to address the issue of the "black fall-out" we received. Chad Collins and the Waterfront Trust are also involved, trying to get trees planted along the Bayside of the Beach to reduce future impact.
In the mean time you can help by phoning and reporting any smells or dirt etc. to the MOE. Please don't try to decide for yourselves just where it is coming from. Once you report it the Ministry will track down who is the guilty party and take appropriate action. MOE. local office-905-521-7650 24 hr.line-1-800-268-6060
