This might be worth a walk down to the beach.
Tonight from around 8:15pm till 9:15pm the US Airforce will be dropping flares from 4,000 feet on the American side of Lake Ontario near Olcott, NY.
This is about 50 miles from the Beach Strip, but they should be clearly visable.
