Good Afternoon,
This email is to advise that there is currently an ongoing public consultation campaign on Hamilton’s Community Energy and Emissions Plan. This plan is a long-term, community-wide plan to meet Hamilton’s future energy needs while improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. I have include the information on the public consultation campaign below. If you could please share this information with anyone in your network who might be interested in participating that would be greatly appreciated.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
The City of Hamilton would like to hear from you on the development of Hamilton’s Community Energy and Emissions Plan.

The Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP) is a long-term plan to meet Hamilton’s future energy needs while improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and fostering local sustainable and community-supported energy solutions. The plan includes every aspect of city-wide energy use and GHG emissions, from homes to transportation to industry to waste. Information about this study is available on the main project website.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
All consultations are being held virtually to protect the health and safety of residents and our staff.
Review Online Materials Anytime: Visit the Engage Hamilton page anytime prior to February 15th, 2021 to view the related information. Participants will be able to review information, submit questions and provide feedback (via a survey or discussion) prior to midnight on February 15th. Materials are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please visit our consultation website to review materials and provide feedback engage.hamilton.ca/ceep.

Join the Virtual Information Meeting: There will be a LIVE Information Meeting held on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The project team will provide an overview presentation of the Community Energy and Emissions Plan and will answer your questions. Individuals can participate online or by phone. Visit our website to register for the meeting and to submit your questions in advance at engage.hamilton.ca/ceep. The presentation made at the January 28th Virtual Information Meeting will be made available on the Engage Hamilton page following the meeting.
