The water quality is fine for swimming, but it would be a tad cold. I do see the odd person out there, knee deep playing with their dog. But much more than that. Maybe later in August.

I have been swimming maybe 6 times? Its cold but clean. Warm enough for a quick swim out and back is all.

Well...i was out at beachway park on monday & it was FREEZING....holy moly!

now if i had a few drinks before i went in..that would have motivated me....LOL

It's supposed to get real hot in the next week, so a nice swim in the lake won't be so bad.

And you have the nicer part of the sand near your house, but yes, this is the time of year when the water gets a little warmer. Even better when there is some wind out of the east.
