At Historic LaSalle Park!

Burlington, ON - Monday August 4th—Civic Holiday Weekend -Look forward to another spectacular year for Joseph Brant Day, a five hours day filled with fantastic line-up of new music, activities, performances and acts! The event runs from 10:00am to 5:00pm at La Salle Park.

Joseph Brant Day is the regionally recognized annual festival put on by the Museums of Burlington. The event always draws a large and diverse crowd. It fosters a great sense of community by encouraging them come out and celebrate the city we live in, the history of our various cultures and one of the area’s earliest and most famous settlers—Joseph Brant Thayendanegea.

To start off the day and the exciting scheduled line-up of music and entertainment at Joseph Brant Day, the Burlington Teen Tour Band will get hearts racing! After our opening ceremonies, you can expect to see: a dazzling Taiko performance of traditional Japanese drumming, a presentation by Strength Dale and other First Nations performances, brilliantly costumed performance by the Shamrock Academy of Irish Dancing alongside live music and special shows!

Great attractions will include: REMAX Hot Air Balloon Rides (10am-1pm ONLY * subject to weather conditions) TFC on the Road inflatable sports field, Tiara Princesses Tea Party tent, activities with Kicks for Kids, Putting Edge mini golf, Burlington Bay Hawks, kids’ water games with Bradbury Real Estate, Museum’s craft and discovery workshops and fair-style games with prizes. Also enjoy participatory drumming with the Naked Beat Drum Circle and demonstrations by the Canadian Fencing Academy.

ALL DAY LONG: Artisans & Vendors! Exhibitors & Heritage Demonstrators! A summer BBQ, cool treats and refreshment stands! Splash park for kids (small cost associated) Fantastic Public Silent Auction! ... and more to come!!

For our guest’s convenience, visitor shuttles will transport visitors from local parking lot of the Aldershot GO Station once parking at LaSalle Park is filled. And last but not least, admission to the event will remain free!
