Burlington Lift Bridge (Closed to Road Traffic)
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists, pedestrians and cyclists of nightly closures on the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge, located in Hamilton, Ontario.
From Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10, 2015, the bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic every night between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained or accommodated.
The two outside lanes will be closed between July 13 and August 31, 2015. During this time, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. Pedestrians and cyclists will continue to have access to the bridge during this period.
Between July 20 and 31, 2015, the bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic nightly between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday to Friday. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained or accommodated.
This schedule may change due to weather conditions or logistical requirements.
