Dear BCLG Members and Friends of the Lighthouse,

A gentle reminder that "Lighthouse Lane", our annual 'street sale within a
street sale', takes place a week from this Sunday - on July 8th - at
"Lighthouse Lane" aka Killarney Ave.

And another gentle reminder that we need a bigger-than-ever donation of
top-drawer items for the sale this year. There are just two days left to
drop off your items - Saturday, June 30 and Saturday, July 7. The place to
deliver your surplus treasures is 671 Beach Blvd. (Roger and Grace's).

Please tell your friends and neighbours, too.

And finally, remember that we have a general meeting on Wednesday, July 11
at 7pm (at the Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit) to count the procceds, celebrate,
and get an update on our progress toward saving the lighthouse and keeper's
cottage, the oldest buildings on the beach!

Oh - one more thing. If you can volunteer to help for an hour or two at the
big sale on Sunday, July 8th, please do so. It's lots of fun and there's no
charge for the "free lunch" we give our volunteers. We're counting on you.
How can you resist?!

Happy Canada Day! (BTW, when Canada was born, OUR lighthouse had been saving
lives for nine years!)

A quick note to remind you about "Lighthouse Lane", our street sale within a
street sale. It's this Sunday, July 8th - all day. (Doug Rivers will be
there to welcome you beginning about 6:30am - thanks Doug!)

We need your help - by coming out to help for an hour or two on SUNDAY - and by bringing your high quality garage sale items TODAY or SATURDAY, so we can price and sell them on SUNDAY.

One more reminder - our next meeting is on Wednesday, July 11 at 7pm at the Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit, across from (the former) Dynes Tavern. Come to hear the outcome of the sale, share your stories about the day, have a lighthouse cookie, and hear the latest chapter in our efforts to get the restoration underway. (We have news!)

See you soon,
