On December 1st, 2006 for the first time ever, the residents of National Drive, off of Greenhill experienced a large flood that almost made to top of their cars. Worried that it could get worst, many of the area residents were evacuated. The Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit was on the scene to assist local firefighters with manpower and boats to remove all that needed help. Photographer Mitchell Brown has sent in some excellent pictures from that day to share with all of us. I have attached a few below and the rest have been posted in Gallery under Beach Rescue. Great job by the guys from HBRU and thanks to Mitchell for the pictures.
