LEDGER, Michael Andrew (Andy) Passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on Friday, August 27, 2010, in his 52nd year, after a brave struggle. Very loving husband and best friend of Lesley. Dear dad "Pa" of Jacqui and Kyle Sopkow and his best buddy Chance. Predeceased by parents Norm and Suzanne. Loving brother of Ellen (Glenn), Jackie (Dave), Sandra (Doug), Charlene (Rod), Trisha (Chris) and Troy. Dear son-in-law of Frances and her late husband Ron Earl. Brother-in-law of Steve (Debbie), Barb (John), Barry and Bob. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Andy was well known as an SPN Umpire-in-Chief and an active member in the baseball community. He will be dearly missed by his friends and colleagues at the HWDSB and fellow Rovers. Very special thank you to the Gracey family and the caring staff on 3 West at St. Peter's. At Andy's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 12th from 1-4 p.m. at the Hamilton Horseshoe Club, 170 Brockley Drive, Hamilton.
