A large ship is at a standstill in Lake Ontario for more than a day. The carrier was supposed to head to Thunder Bay from Hamilton Harbour yesterday, but it ran into mechanical issues, with nearly two dozen people on board. Jason Gaidola reports.

The John D. Leitch left Hamilton last Thursday afternoon and lost power about eight miles out on Lake Ontario, there was an attempt to tow the vessel back in yesterday but the winds were unsafe and the transit was delayed until this morning. The ship was towed in by the tug Ocean A. Gauthier and the tug Omni Coastal also assisted.
