Beach Community Council Meeting

The next Beach Community Council Meeting is Tuesday, November 6th at 7:30 pm at the Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit. The meeting that was scheduled in September was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Salt Fallout

If you see any fallout from the industry around the harbor that is affecting the Beach, please call and report it. The Ministry of the Environment 24 hr line 1-800-268-6060, local office line, 905-521-7650.

For the last couple of years the Port has allowed the storage of mountains of road salt that when left uncovered or moved impacts the residents in the area. Unlike coal dust, salt can corrode and damage your home and vehicle. The salt companies have moved these piles further north on Eastport Drive this year and the impacted areas border on the side streets between Locarno Avenue and Knapman Avenue. We ask that residents keep watch during times of high winds and report all occurrences to the MOE and please contact the community so that we can keep track as well – hbcf@cogeco.ca
