Casino

I was just looking at the skyscraperpage on the conversation of the casino. One person mentioned that they thought the Confederation Park area would be a good spot to put a casino.


My personal opinion, I do not want a casino anywhere in this city. Leave it where it is along with keeping the racetrack open.

Any other opinions on this?

If it is the casino that brings in jobs, tourism and tax money, then I am for it.
If it is the casino that brings bankruptcies, divorce and suicides, then I am against it.
And Confederation would be dumb spot to put it.

Downtown isn't the best place either. With parking being a big issue. Plus with the robbings in the downtown area too is no help.

And I agree that even if I was for it I wouldn't want it at Confederation Park area either.

I can say that the casino here where I am has brought jobs yes, but they are 4hr shifts, the number of pawn shops has trippled, I have also seen the very bad sides of it with a few people not to mention the drug rate has increased. but thats hereand I have only spent $20 there in 15 years

I'm not much of a gamber. I will buy some scratch tickets every so often. I got a good one last Sept on the $3 scratch Keno. I got 5G.

Must be nice, I guess you didn't buy it at Glow as I don't a 5G on the wall of winners, unless it is an older one and has been removed.
I didn't anything in the Spec about using Confed as a location, I could of missed it though,

I haven't been to Glow in years. I got it at Shoppers Drug Mart at the Centre.

I saw that opinion on skyscraperpage for Confederation for a locataion. There is a poll in today's spec about the casino. I voted yes on the poll.
