Hello Members and Friends of the Beach canal Lighthouse Group (BCLG),
Here's a gentle reminder of our key events this month (July):
Sunday, July 10 - All Day
"Lighthouse Lane" is BCLG's portion of Hamilton's annual Beach Boulevard
Street Sale. We're located at the mid-point of Beach Blvd. (at Killarney
Ave.) and we'll have over a dozen tables of merchandise for sale, BCLG
displays, and more!
Members and friends can help by volunteering and by contributing their
quality street sale items to further BCLG's cause - acquiring, restoring,
and ensuring the long-term preservation of the Lighthouse and Keeper's
Cottage at the Canal. To volunteer, call Doug Rivers at (905) 628-3065. To
contribute, call Grace Belliveau at (905) 545-0116 to arrange to deliver
your merchandise by Friday, July 8 to 671 Beach Boulevard.
Wednesday, July 13 at 7pm.
BCLG's General Meeting will celebrate the success of "Lighthouse Lane",
feature a guest speaker, and introduce new BCLG Directors. Our Guest Speaker will be Alice Willems from the Marine Discovery Centre. Join us at the
Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit on Beach Blvd. (across from Dynes Tavern) for
this celebration!
Saturday, July 23 - 10am-4pm
BCLG will be hosting a display at the Port Maitland Festival of History at
the Dunnville Airport. Details and directions to this major event will be
available at "Lighthouse Lane" and at our July 13th meeting.
