Well I know my father said he lived on canned apricots when he was out to sea for several months on the vettes. Needless to say he never ate another apricot again after that.

I'm glad they moved her to Hamilton. My father was always angry that Toronto was letting her sit and rot away. Too bad he didn't live to see her come alive again in our city. Especially when he was a navy man in WW2.

Adding this photo and please credit the Lift Bridge. This is the Haida on it's final tour transiting past the new Lift Bridge in 1962. Notice the electrical poles on the bottom right as I don't recall seeing those in any picture and I wonder what is tied up to those anchors in the pier.
