No yet anyway, I have taken a walk along the piers for the last few nights and although crowded with fishermen with their state of the art smelt nets, lights and generators there is nothing to catch. I didn't see one single smelt.
This comes after last year's record haul.
I'm no fishing expert, but maybe the late cold weather could be a factor. Still some time to give it a try if you haven't yet.
