It looks like Farr Island is tough one to get rid of, they have been working on for a few days now with very little progress. Might still be there when the cormorants return?
The island is now a small pile of rock, unless the weather gets in the way, it should be gone by the end of the month.
The cormorants will have to find some other living quarters.
Farr Island has been completely removed, looks like the contractor was just doing some finishing touches today. About an hour after taking the attached picture, the work crew was gone.
I believe the point of removing farr Island was to get the cormorants to move on, well they did.
Now all of the trees near where the island was once located are now filled with them and to me, there seems to be many more than last year.
