If it is to be a restaurant I don't understand why there will be no liquior licence. If it will be a coffee shop I understand but if it's a restaurant why would they not allow a drink with or following a meal. The argument that it's a residential area doesn't wash, the Dynes sat in a residential area for 160 years. Maybe the new residents don't want a bar, but to have a restaurant with no licence makes no sense to me. An unlicenced restaurant on the Dynes property-- Ol' man Dynes must be spinning in his grave!
I guess we won't be having a (licenced) beer together for a long time. Boooooooo!
