That's a bird sanctuary? As much as crap that the Hamilton Port Authority pulls on us, they did bulldoze over many of the nesting areas over on Eastport early in this spring. There are still far too many cormorants and gulls over there nesting. The gulls are mostly gone now but the cormorants are still there in great numbers. And yes they do stink, the sooner something is done with the open cells on Eastport, the better. It is hoped that it will be turned into some type of parkland, but the Port wants to put more of the same. Another topic for another day, or check out the attached thread.
