Burlington Street/Woodward Avenue Ramp Closure
Facts and Issues:
Burlington Street will be widened under the existing Woodward Avenue Bridge. This includes a permanent realignment of the Woodward Avenue interchange ramps and construction of a retaining wall in the area. This work will last approximately 3-4 months and is scheduled to begin in April 2006.
In order to ensure the safety of workers, the ramps between Burlington Street and Woodward Avenue will be closed.
Mitigation:
A minimum of two traffic lanes in each direction on Burlington Street will be provided to accomodate daily peak traffic. (Please see attached map in PDF format)
Traffic to/from Burlington Street will be detoured via Parkdale, Barton and Woodward at all times.
Detour signing will be provided for both Burlington Street collector and through traffic lanes.
Intersections along the detour route can accommodate the additional demand of the detoured traffic.
