This document was passed on to me showing the incorporation of the Beach Fire Dept., dated November 2nd, 1955. Three years later the department was disbanded when the City of Hamilton took over the Beach.

Another picture taken today (May 5th) shows the lake level has moved up about 7" in ten days. The watermark can still be seen from 2017 which is still another 18' to the crest. To compare, this photo of the lake level was taken May 14th, 2017

Checking my canal level meter today we can see that the lake level is still moving up. Checking the level on the next day (April 25th) and there is another noticeable rise in lake level.

The fire at the scrap yard downwind to the Beach is finally getting under control. There was very thick smoke at the south end of the Blvd.

I was looking at that rail yesterday and yes, it is getting higher when in past years the level was starting to inch down at this time of the year. And lots wet weather coming, hopefully our Easter Hunt gets a pass.
