All of the babies at the bridge nest have now learned to fly.

Only 2 eggs hatched at the downtown nest. They should be banding them in a few more days.

Sure is great seeing the numbers grow for this beautiful bird. :)

They should be banding the downtown babies probably in a few more days. Only 2 hatched at that nest this year.

Banding of our 2013 birds has been successfully completed. Our theme for bird names this year is "Heroes and Heroines of the War of 1812", so chick No. 1 has been named "Laura", for Laura Secord, and chick No. 2 is "Brock", for General Brock. No. 2 would have been named "Tecumseh" but we learned that a Peregrine chick at Windsor, Ontario was given that name a few weeks ago and we try not to have two birds with the same name.
